Preparing Children for the Next Chapter

The Senior KG programme at Kidhood is designed for children between 5 and 6 years, helping them strengthen the academic, social and personal skills they need for their transition to primary school.

Children take part in structured learning experiences that develop early reading, writing and numeracy while continuing to learn through stories, activities, creative expression, movement and hands-on exploration. Our educators encourage children to think, communicate, ask questions and complete age-appropriate tasks with increasing confidence.

Ready for Primary School

Senior KG helps children bring together the skills developed throughout their preschool years. Through structured routines, guided learning and opportunities for independent participation, children develop greater confidence in reading, writing, numeracy, communication and classroom behaviour.

Our goal is to make the transition to primary school comfortable, confident and positive, while keeping learning engaging and enjoyable.

The goal set for our play school’s Nursery program is based on enquiry, hands – on teaching and individualised instructions. We aim to teach them how to interact with one another using play – way methods. We crave to develop imaginative skills in all the activities the children are exposed to. Kids at this stage learn the sounds made by letters to form words. Stories are told on the interaction of letters to form simple words. Activities at this stage include, identification of numbers and letters, correct usage of action words and vocabulary development among others.
